President Rodrigo Duterte will fly to Cotabato province today, a few days after members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) attacked the municipality of Datu Paglas in Maguindanao, Malacañang said Tuesday.
In his virtual presser, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte will meet with officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, policemen and soldiers following the recent incident with BIFF fighters.
Roque said the government intends to go full force to prevent the Muslim militant organization from carrying out further attacks.
“Makipagusap siya dun at talagang ang mensahe niya ay ipararating niyang mensahe sa BIFF na ang kanyang katungkulan ay ipapatupad ang batas at hindi pupuwede na patuloy na gumagamit ng dahas laban sa kapwa Pilipino,” he said in a separate interview.
“Gagamitin niya ang buong pwersa ng gobyerno para supilin ang paggamit ng dahas.” according to him.
