The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases plans to distribute modules detailing Covid-19 protocols and other public health measures to different barangays across the country, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said.
In a radio interview Sunday, Nograles said this initiative will ensure strict compliance with the established protocols in barangays.
Earlier, President Rodrigo Duterte warned local government officials, including barangay captains, of facing administrative and criminal charges should they fail to enforce quarantine measures in their areas of jurisdiction.
As of May 15, the Philippines recorded a total of 56,709 active Covid-19 cases, with 1,062,427 recoveries and 19,051 casualties.
