More vaccines are coming: Roque expects ‘better Christmas’ for Pinoys

By Prince Golez

As multiple coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines are expected to arrive in the Philippines in the coming months, Malacañang said it expects a “better Christmas” this year.

In his virtual presser on Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the government has secured 1.1 million doses of Pfizer vaccine; 500,000 doses of CoronaVac; and 2 million doses of Sputnik to be delivered this month.

Inaasahan natin ang higit isang milyon or 1,100,000 doses mula Pfizer; Kalahating milyong doses galing po sa Sinovac at Dalawang milyong doses mula Sputnik V,” according to Roque.

The Palace official, meanwhile, asked the public to trust the government’s Covid-19 response and to vigilantly follow health protocols.
