Convicted “drug queen” Yu Yuk Lai died on Tuesday (May 11) after getting infected with the COVID-19 virus, Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Deputy Director General Gabriel Chaclag said.
The BuCor spokesman said Yu died at around 9:47 a.m. at the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City.
Chaclag said Yu was taken to the hospital last May 4 after testing positive for COVID-19 and showed moderate symptoms.
However, her condition worsened that led to her eventual death.
YU has been diagnosed as having “acute myocardial infarction, COVID-19 Confirmed Critical.”
