The government’s Covid-19 task force has approved the request of the Philippine Swimming Inc. (PSI) to host the 2021 Swimming National Selection Meet.
The selection trials will be held in a “bubble-type” atmosphere at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capas, Tarlac.
“Inaprubahan din ang request ng Philippine Swimming Incorporated na mag-host ng 2021 Swimming National Selection Meet sa ilalim ng bubble-type format sa New Clark City Aquatics Center, Capas, Tarlac,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during the Laging Handa briefing Friday.
Roque noted that the National Selection Meet delegates will be considered as Authorized Persons Outside of Residence.
They will also be allowed interzonal travel, he added.
PSI is the national governing body for swimming and other aquatic sports in the Philippines.
