Protektado sa virus: BuCor employees complete COVID-19 vaccination

In just over a week, Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) health personnel have received two shots of the vaccines against the COVID-19 virus.

The BuCor said in a statement that many of its personnel received their second shots on Saturday (May 8) after getting their first shots last April 30.

“Ito ay para sa mas pinalakas ng proteksyon laban sa Covid-19,” said the BuCor which noted that the vaccination was done in cooperation with the Department of Health (DOH).

“Karamihan sa naunang batch kabilang ay ang ating BuCor Medical Team at Health Workers,” it noted.

The agency stressed the importance in vaccinating its personnel, especially its health workers, so they can do their job unhindered as well ensure the health of inmates.

“Sa ngayon ay tuloy tuloy parin ang pagbabakuna sa iba pang personnel at taos-pusong nagpapasalamat ang Bureau of Corrections sa suporta mula sa Department of Health gayundin din sa iba pang partners ng ahensya,” the BuCor stated.

“Sinisiguro ng ating butihing Director General Gerald Q Bantag na naibibigay ang pangangailangan ng kanyang nasasakupan lalo na sa pangkalusugan na syang napakaimportante sa panahong pandemya,” it added.
