Chairperson Prospero De Vera is against UP’s decision to accept incoming freshmen based on their grades, rather than UPCAT. He says the incoming batch may even face discrimination later on. “Baka masama ang tingin sa mga mapasok kasi wala silang tatak UP. Ang isang tatak UP, pumasa ka ng UPCAT… They may to carry that burden the rest of their lives.”
