Seven persons are vying for the position of Deputy Ombudsman for the Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices (DO-MOLEO), the Judicial and Bar Council said.
Supreme Court (SC) Clerk of Court and JB Ex Officio Secretary Marife announced that the seven candidates are regional trial court (RTC) Judges Divinagracia Bustos-Ongkeko, Rodney Magbanua and Mario Duaves; Assistant Ombudsman Jose Balmeo Jr.; Ombudsman Director Beda Epres; and lawyers Camilo Correa and Voltaire San Pedro.
“The public may submit a sworn complaint, report, or opposition against any of the aforesaid candidates…,” urged Cuevas.
Meanwhile, Ongkeko, Correa, Magbanua, and San Pedro are set to undergo a public interview before the JBC this Wednesday (June 23).
The rest still have valid previous interviews.
The person who will get selected will succeed former MOLEO Deputy Ombudsman MOLEO Cyril Ramos whose seven-year term ended last May 6.
