Metro Manila will most likely remain under general community quarantine (GCQ) status, Malacañang said Monday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said it would be difficult to change the quarantine classification over Metro Manila.
The National Capital Region (NCR) is currently under GCQ “with some restrictions” until June 30.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) is scheduled to meet today, June 28 to discuss the quarantine classifications for July, Roque said during his televised briefing.
“Today ang meeting IATF para sa mga quarantine classification. So, again, I will not prejudge. Pero sa tingin ko, GCQ ang ating current quarantine classification sa Metro Manila, eh siguro po mahirap po magbago ng classification as of now,” he also said.
