Netizen wishes Duterte wins as VP but Robredo will be president. Here’s how the internet reacted

What would happen if roles were reversed and Vice President Leni Robredo becomes president while President Rodrigo Duterte assumes her post?

Reddit users have a lot to say after a netizen raised the possibility of a Robredo-Duterte administration in 2022.

Netizen u/hozey_hozier_hoziest titled his post: “Sana tumakbo at manalong bise presidente si Duterte.” He, however, added: “Pero ang manalong presidente ay si Leni. For sure di kakayanin ng ego niya na yung babaeng minaliit at tinanggalan niya ng kapangyarihan ay nasa mas mataas na posisyon sa kanya. Also, gusto kong makitang ilagay siya sa lugar ni Leni kapag nagsimula siyang magmagaling.”

Reddit users are split over the scenario. u/k5nn said: “Had us in the first half not gonna lie pero tatakbo nga ba talaga siya?… Yun yung tanong mukhang busy pa yung mga disenteng politiko sa pandemya samantalang tong mga hinayupak na trapo na to nagpaparamdam na.”

“I wont give him a chance to take any seat. Bakit gusto mo pa manalo eh kung pwede naman na hindi na. Para saktan ego nung aso? Kung gusto kong masaktan feelings nyan, p*ta, papakulong ko na lang, Ez,” said u/fvqunds.

“Impeach nila si Leni tapos si Digs na ulit ang bestest prisidint,” said u/tagahain.

“No. We dont need him in office longer. Get rid of the scum sooner than later,” said u/bruiseballet.

“I doubt and hope that he’s not gonna run for a national or any political position. He looks tired and not in good shape,” said u/SushiDodo08.

“Since our constitution prevents an incumbent president from running again as President, he should also not be allowed to run as Vice President. He will essentially be running as potential “next-in-line” to his own successor. If he files a COC for VO, expect a ton of petitions at the Supreme Court,” said u/Magnelume.

Duterte’s party mates from PDP-Laban have signed a resolution urging him to run for vice president and choose his running mate for the 2022 elections.

Robredo, meanwhile, said she has yet to decide on her plans next year.
