3-peat feat! Dennis Uy firm bags logistics contract for 2022 polls

A logistics company owned by Dennis Uy bested three other firms to bag the contract for the procurement of deployment of election equipment, supplies and warehousing for the 2022 elections.

F2 Logistics Philippines Inc. submitted bids totaling P535.9 million for the four lots or items under the project, which has an approved budget P1.61 billion.

Other qualified bidders that participated in the bidding were Airspeed International, 2Go Express Inc. and LBC Express.

According to the Commission on Elections, the winning bidder shall be responsible for the delivery of all equipment, forms and supplies for activities leading to the 2022 polls and the election day on May 9, 2022.

Among the items that must be delivered by F2 Logistics include vote counting machines (VCMs), consolidation/canvassing system (CCS) machines and peripherals, generator sets, official ballots, computerized voters’ lists, training materials provided by the Comelec and non-accountable forms and supplies.

F2 Logistics also won the contract for the delivery of election equipment and supplies for the 2018 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.

In 2019, it also bagged a contract, along with two other firms, for the delivery of election-related supplies and equipment for the midterm polls.

F2 handled the deployment of vote counting machines and ballots in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Caraga, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

The Davao-based Uy used to control 2GO when it won the logistics contract in the 2016 presidential elections. The SM group took control of 2GO in 2017 and bought out Uy’s shares in May 2021.
