The current health condition of Davao City Vice Mayor and presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte worries President Rodrigo Duterte, Malacañang said.
Baste recently tested positive for Covid-19.
“Of course the President is concerned as a father,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in yesterday’s virtual presser.
But, Roque expressed optimism that the younger Duterte will recover faster from the virus, saying that he’s young and healthy.
“One thing going for Vice Mayor is siya po ay bata at malusog ‘no. Talaga naman pong immune system ang lumalaban dito sa Covid-19,” he added.
The secretary, however, could not confirm whether the Chief Executive has been exposed to his youngest son.
“Wala po akong alam na close contact si Presidente,” he said.
