By Prince Golez

The Philippines will receive more doses of Sinovac’s Covid-19 vaccine next week, Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje announced Sunday.

Another shipment of CoronaVac shots will be delivered to the country on July 14, Cabotaje said in an interview on Dobol B sa News TV.

“Sa July 14, may dadating na Sinovac tayo para naman at least tuloy-tuloy yung ating pagbabakuna sa NCR Plus 8,” according to the chairperson of the National Vaccination Operations Center said.

The NCR Plus 8, the initial areas given vaccine access priority, consists of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, Pampanga, Batangas, Cebu, and Davao.

The government earlier expanded priority areas to include the cities of Bacolod, Iloilo, Cagayan De Oro, Baguio, Zamboanga, Dumaguete, Tuguegarao, General Santos, Naga, and Legazpi.
