NCR to remain under GCQ with heightened restrictions until Aug. 15; Iloilo, 3 cities under ECQ until Aug. 7

President Rodrigo Duterte has extended the general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions classification of the National Capital Region until August 15.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte also approved the recommendation of the government’s Covid-19 task force to retain the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) classification of Iloilo City, Iloilo Province, Cagayan de Oro City, and Gingoog City until August 7.

Areas under modified ECQ from August 1 to August 15 are Ilocos Norte, Bataan, Lapu-Lapu City, and Mandaue City.

Also to be placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions include Ilocos Sur, Cagayan, Bulacan, Laguna, Lucena City, Cavite, Rizal, Naga City, Antique, Aklan, Bacolod City, Capiz, Negros Oriental, Zamboanga del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Davao City, Davao del Norte, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental, and Butuan City.

The following provinces and cities shall be placed under GCQ from August 1 to August 31:

-Baguio City

-Apayao

-City of Santiago

-Isabela

-Nueva Vizcaya

-Quirino

-Quezon

-Batangas

-Puerto Princesa

-Guimaras

-Negros Occidental

-Zamboanga Sibugay

-City of Zamboanga

-Zamboanga del Norte

-Davao Oriental

-Davao del Sur

-General Santos City

-Sultan Kudarat

-Sarangani

-North Cotabato

-South Cotabato

-Agusan del Norte

-Surigao del Norte

-Agusan del Sur

-Dinagat Islands

-Surigao del Sur

-Cotabato City

All other areas in the country will be placed under modified GCQ until the end of August.

“The above mentioned classifications are subject to the appeals of the local government units,” said Roque.
