Malacañang congratulated the local governments of Pasig and Las Piñas for vaccinating 100 percent of their eligible seniors population against Covid-19.
In a virtual presser Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said both cities have given at least one dose to all senior citizens eligible for the vaccine.
“Binabati natin ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Pasig at Las Piñas dahil nabakunahan na nila ang 100 percent ng kanilang eligible senior population as of July 18, report ng National Covid-19 Operations Center at ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority,” according to Roque.
Pasig has a total eligible seniors population of 45,158 while Las Piñas has 38,615, government data showed.
“Congratulations po. Kaya naniniwala tayo na aabutin natin ang population protection basta tayo ay sama-sama at tulong-tulong,” the secretary said.
