Roque warns against Covid-19 vaccine card fraud: ‘Mahaba ang kulong diyan’

Palace Spokesman Harry Roque has warned the public against faking Covid-19 vaccinate cards.

Those who forge Covid-19 vaccine cards could face a long prison sentence, Roque said in a virtual presser held in Pampanga Tuesday.

“Nagbibigay ako ng babala dun sa mga mamemeke: Yan po’y isang public document. So kapag kayo ay nameke ng vaccination card, that’s falsification of a public document. Medyo mataas ang kulong diyan,” according to him.

“Uulitin ko po, falsification of a public document yan, mataas po, mahaba ang kulong diyan. ‘Wag naman kayo magpakalaboso,” he added.

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases earlier allowed fully vaccinated individuals to travel within the Philippines even without a swab test.

Fully vaccinated people should only show proof of full vaccination, according to IATF Resolution No. 124-5.
