House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and his wife Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez on Monday congratulated the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) on its 107th founding anniversary tomorrow, July 27.
“We also congratulate Ka Eduardo V. Manalo, the Iglesia ni Cristo’s Executive Minister, for his exemplary leadership that led to a phenomenal growth in Church membership all over the world,” the Romualdez couple said.
The Romualdez couple said that they are “forever grateful” to INC for their impressive role in the recovery and rehabilitation efforts in Eastern Visayas in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yolanda in 2013.
“You were among the first to rush to our aid, at a time when our people needed it most. Your compassion in helping us rebuild our lives will be remembered in the years to come,” they said. “We wish the Iglesia ni Cristo all the best as you propagate the faith in every part of the globe. May our Lord God continue to bless your efforts in spreading the good news of salvation and in living a life of good deed.”
July 27 of every year is declared as a special national working holiday in commemoration of the founding anniversary of INC in the Philippines under Republic Act 9645.
