President Rodrigo Duterte commended the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for their buy-bust operation in Quezon City that resulted in the confiscation of P1.48 billion worth of illegal drugs.
Duterte said this is one of the largest methamphetamine seizures in the country.
“There was this drug buy-bust operation sa Holy Star (Hardware). Sinadya ko ito dito it’s because it’s one of the largest, P1 billion something ito lahat, yesterday, P1.48 billion,” the President said during his Talk to the People address Monday evening.
“I’d like to commend the PNP, itong drug body, itong PDEA… Kaya yung human rights, sabi nila, ‘Si Duterte killer. Patay, patay, patay’. Kita mo naman ang ginagawa ng mga ulol,” he added.
The war on drugs, which has led to the deaths of thousands of Filipinos, has been the centerpiece of the Duterte presidency.
