Gatchalian’s reminder as budget deliberations loom: 2022 still Covid-19 year

Senator Win Gatchalian on Thursday said the government should continue pouring in funds for Covid-19 response measures addressing the ongoing health crisis as well as income and job generation programs in the proposed P5.024-trillion national budget next year.

He said government-financed short-term and other job-generating programs to address the consequences of the Covid-19 outbreak should likewise be given precedence over other items in the proposed national appropriations.

“Survival mode sila so as much as possible kailangan nilang maitawid ang 2022 para sa 2023 ay mas maayos at maginhawa na ang sitwasyon nila,” he said.

Kapital ang ibibigay natin,” Gatchalian said.
