Palace sends condolences to family of COA Auditor Jake Cimafranca

Malacañang on Thursday condoled with the family of the late Atty. Jake Cimafranca of the Commission on Audit (COA) who died of heart attack last August 4.

Cimafranca was the leader of the team behind the audit report on the Department of Health (DOH).

“Dahil tayo po ay mga Pilipino, we, of course, condole with the family and the friends of the late COA auditor,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during his televised briefing.

“We understand nag heart attack si pañero ng August 4, and the COA report was released, kung hindi ako nagkakamali, around August 16. But nonetheless, we condole with the family [and] in any way that we can help, please let us know,” Roque also said.

The COA earlier flagged various deficiencies in the management of P67.323 billion Covid-19 funds by the DOH.
