Spared from COVID-19.
Vice President Leni Robredo is raring to report for work at her office after testing negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
But Robredo will remain in quarantine and work from home for this week as part of the health protocols enforced by the government. The latest update on Robredo’s health was posted on her Facebook page on August 31, 2021.
“Got my negative rt pcr test result already. I’ve been exposed so many times but the latest was my closest call to date. So thank God, really!! I was again spared,” she wrote on Facebook.
Robredo wants to physically return to work since he has “a gazillion things to do.”
The country’s health protocols however dictate a person must complete a 14-day quarantine regardless of test results.
“But we are strictly following health protocols and that includes completing the 14-day quarantine despite the negative test,” she said.
“For the next 7 days, I will continue to be working from home,” she said.
The veep has kept a busy workload during the first week of home quarantine.
“Actually, the first 7 days flew by so quickly because my days have been filled with zoom meetings and video shoots for speeches,” she said.
Robredo also received a lovely message from her two grandkids welcoming news about testing negative for COVID-19. “Our babies sent this when they learned of my negative test results. We haven’t seen them in quite a while,” she said.
