It would be better if the President would let the Commission on Audit (COA) do its mandate to audit agencies’ financial records rather than defend his Cabinet members, the top official of the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC).
In an interview on Abante’s Balitaan at Kumustahan, VACC President Arsenio “Boy” Evangelista said President Duterte from the start has always “easily” reacted to such issues.
He mentioned, however, that Duterte’s reaction should not influence COA which is just doing its job.
“I would say siguro mas maganda kung mismong yung mga appointees niya, encourage, open niya yung pintuan niya for a full-blown investigation ng COA, at yun naman talaga ang trabaho nila,” Evangelista said.
