‘Di mahalaga pera! Pacquiao claims he ain’t materialistic like other presidential bets

Senator Manny Pacquiao claims he’s not materialistic despite becoming a bilyonaryo through boxing.

In an interview on Politiko Live’s “Politiskoop” Friday (Sept. 3), Pacquiao said his sincerity and lack of interest in material things set him apart from other presidential contenders.

More than amassing riches, Pacquiao said he’s more focused on helping other people. The eight-division boxing champion said his hard work also makes him distinct from other politikos.

“Ako kasi isang atleta. ‘Pag may pangarap po ako na gusto kong abutin talagang yung effort, yung hard work, yung dedication ko nandiyan more than 100 per cent pa sabihin natin. At nandiyan with the guidance of God I think we can change a lot,” he said.
