Harry Roque says quote card about corruption not his

Palace Spokesman Harry Roque has dismissed as false a recent statement being attributed to him.

Roque was referring to an online quote card bearing his photo and a statement that corruption, even in Jesus’ time, has always been present.

“Fake news alert!!! #MasMabutiAngMayAlam,” the secretary wrote in a Facebook post Saturday.

His post was accompanied by a photo with this message: “SMNI News strongly disowns this FAKE QUOTE CARD which is now circulating in social media.”

“Any MISREPRESENTATION or UNAUTHORIZED USE of our logo and social media materials will be seen as a violation and will be subject to legal action or penalty from SMNI News,” it also read.

The fake quote made it appear that Roque acknowledged the corruption has worsened under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The statement read as follows: “Nakakasawang isyu ang corruption. Panahon pa ni Hesus, may corruption na. So what kung, kung mas malala pa ngayon. Manalo muna kayo ng eleksiyon at kayo naman ang magnakaw kung gusto niyo!”
