The Liberal Party has prepared its initial senatorial ticket for the 2022 elections.
Popular human rights lawyer Chel Diokno is among the five senatorial aspirants of the opposition party in next year’s polls. The other nominees are re-electionist Senators Francis Pangilinan, Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros, and former Senator Bam Aquino.
The senatorial aspirants have been formally endorsed during the LP gathering on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021. Hontiveros and Diokno will be pat of the guest candidates of the Liberal Party.
The latest updates on the LP gathering were posted on Twitter by ABS-CBN reporter RG Cruz.
First on the meeting’s agenda was the formal nomination of former Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV and re-electionists Sen. Pangilinan and Sen. De Lima as among the Party’s initial list of senatorial candidates.
