85% of PCOO workers are fully vaccinated: Andanar

Eighty-five percent of personnel at the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) and its attached agencies are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, Secretary Martin Andanar said Sunday.

A total of 3,364 PCOO employees and its attached agencies across the country have been fully immunized, as of September 27, 2021.

“PCOO has made it a departmental goal to inoculate and vaccinate all of its government personnel and their families,” Andanar said in a press statement.

Data showed that 343 personnel have yet to receive their second dose, while 69 persons chose not to be inoculated.

In June, the PCOO started vaccinating the general population of the agency, including their dependents, through the National Vaccine Operations Center, the local government units (LGUs) of Manila and Quezon City, and the LGUs for the regional offices of PCOO units and agencies nationwide.

This, according to the PCOO chief, would ensure the unhampered delivery of information, communications, and government services to the public.

Andanar thanked PCOO Legal Affairs Assistant Secretary Omar Romero, PCOO Group vaccination coordinator, Administration and Finance Undersecretary Kris Ablan, and the heads of the PCOO attached agencies for making this vaccination drive possible and successful.
