The national government has eased the quarantine classification of Bulacan, Apayao and Capiz to general community quarantine (GCQ) starting October 18, Malacañang announced Sunday.
In a press statement, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved the recommendation to put Bulacan, Apayao and Capiz to GCQ from October 18 to October 31 this year.
Bulacan and Apayao were initially placed under modified enhanced community quarantine while Capiz had been under GCQ with heightened restrictions.
In this type of lockdown, movement will be limited to accessing essential goods and services, and for work in the offices or industries permitted to operate.
Any person below 18 years old and over 65 years of age, those with comorbidities and pregnant women are still prohibited from leaving their homes except for essential travel during GCQ.
