Former Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colmenares has a passion for playing the game of chess.
The former lawmaker loves playing chess so much that he can play blindfold chess.
“Chess is life… sometimes,” he tweeted.
“Sa sobra kong seryoso sa pag-chess noon kaya kong maglaro sabay-sabay ng 3 board habang naka-blindfold,” he said.
Colmenares started playing chess when he was seven years old. He became a serious chess player, even placing second place in the Palarong Pambansa in 1976.
The former lawmaker, who is running for senator in next year’s elections, currently serves as vice president of the National Chess Federation.
