Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas is the latest “kakampink” of Vice President Leni Robredo.
The mayor has declared support for presidential aspirant Robredo, admiring her courage and integrity.
He made the comment after posting photos of Robredo’s visit Iloilo City over the weekend.
“I admire your grit. You have an unyielding courage in the face of adversity and have proven to be effective despite the limited resources,” he tweeted.
“Above all, you have no traces of corruption. 💖,” he said.
The mayor posted photos of Robredo’s visit, hoping people will have a good morning when they see his latest social media post.
“Para maganda ang gising nyo bukas. 💖,” he captioned the photos with Robredo.
The veep posted on Twitter her gratitude for Treñas’ support in the upcoming polls. Robredo is seeking the presidency as an independent candidate, vowing to thwart the return to power of the Marcoses. She will face off with rivals including former Senator Bongbong Marcos in the 2022 presidential race.
