Senator Ping Lacson is banking on the popularity of his running mate Senate President Tito Sotto and his team’s grassroots recruitment to propel his run for the presidency in the 2022 elections.
In an interview following his team’s filing of candidacy with the Commission on Election on September 6, Lacson said he was feeling good about his chances despite trailing in the early pre-election survey on preferred potential candidates next year.
“As we speak, ‘yung aming grassroots recruitment saka organization, nasa full swing.
Lacson said his team’s – composed of the National People’s Coalition (NPC), National Unity Party, and Partido Reporma – efforts to build up grassroots support was in “full swing” months before Election Day in May.
