Need raket? SC searching for proctors for 2020/2021 Bar exams

The Supreme Court (SC) has called on lawyers and judicial employees to volunteer as proctors for the upcoming bar examinations.

“Incumbent judicial employees and lawyers outside the Judiciary may volunteer,” read the announcement of the SC’s Bar Confidant (OBC).

The OBC said those interested have until Oct. 29 to register.

To qualify, the OBC they must be fully vaccinated by Jan. 2, 2022 and have no relatives within the fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity who will take the exams.

Judicial employees should also have their names included in the Certification of reliability and integrity signed by their immediate supervisor or head office.

While, lawyers should have no pending administrative case filed against them in court and are not teaching in any law school during the examination months,

The bar examinations will take place this Jan. 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6.

OBC assured that volunteers will be given allowances, including transportation and hazard pay.

Also, lawyers will be exempted from the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) for one compliance period.
