PNP eyes tight watch despite possible NCR alert level downgrade: Hindi tayo magluluwag

By Prince Golez

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said it will continue to keep a tight watch, granting that the National Capital Region (NCR) will revert to Alert Level 3 this Saturday.

The capital region is placed under Alert Level 4 until October 15.

Guillermo Eleazar said during a Laging Handa press briefing.

On Tuesday, Metro Manila Development Authority Chairperson Benhur Abalos said Metro Manila mayors are hoping that the Covid-19 alert level in the region will be lowered starting October 16.

Data from the OCTA Research Group showed that NCR’s reproduction rate has slowed down from 1.25 on September 17 to just 0.61 on October 8.
