All LTO offices to issue 10-year driver’s licences by December: Duterte

All Land Transportation Office (LTO) offices will issue driver’s licenses valid for 10 years by December, President Rodrigo Duterte said.

Duterte announced that the LTO licensing office on East Avenue already started issuing driver’s licenses with 10 year validity on October 28.

The distribution of the license with extended validity in Metro Manila, he added, will begin this month.

“I am pleased to announce that the LTO’s licensing offices in East Avenue have started the issuance of the driver’s license with a 10-year validity on October 28, 2021. Ang lisensya ng ating mga… sa driving sa lahat is good for 10 years, wala nang renewal-renewal na madalian,” the Chief Executive said.

“The rest of the offices in the NCR shall start issuance of the same in November 2021 to be followed by all other regions progressively. By December 2021, the LTO commits that all its offices nationwide will be issuing licenses with a 10-year validity,” he added.
