Child donates allowance to Robredo; ‘Sobrang nakaka-touch,’ Leni says

Vice President Leni Robredo is blown away by a random act of kindness from a kid.

A mother approached Robredo and handed her P200 during the veep’s visit to Tarlac, telling her it was a donation from her child. Robredo revealed on Facebook about the heartwarming gesture of a young person on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.

“After my speech onstage, a lot of people came up to have their pictures taken. Biglang may kumuha sa kamay ko at may nilagay. Tinanong ko yung babae kung ano yun. Sabi niya, ‘pinapabigay po ng anak ko. Baon niya po yan sa school pero binilin niya sa akin na ibigay sayo kasi gusto niyang makatulong,'” Robredo said.

“Dahil siksikan, nakita ko kung ano yung binigay niya nung nakasakay na ako sa sasakyan. Crumpled na dalawang P100 bills!!! Sobrang nakaka touch, di ba?” she said.

Robredo tried to reach out to the young donor, hoping she will get to thank the individual in person.

“Hindi ko nakuha pangalan ng nagbigay. So kung mabasa niyo po ito, pa comment po dito para makapagpasalamat ako ng maayos,” she said.

Robredo, leader of the opposition, is seeking the presidency as an independent candidate. She has encouraged her army of supporters known as “kakampinks” to spread love and kindness instead of hate and conflict.

Recently, she launched her “Kalayaan sa COVID” plan, detailing her programs on how to set Filipinos free from fear of getting sick, hunger, and poor access to education.
