Malacañang reiterated on Tuesday its call for the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) to pay the reimbursement claims of private hospitals.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said President Rodrigo Duterte has requested PhilHealth chief Dante Gierran to fast-track processing of these claims.
The secretary noted that 70 percent of health professionals in the country work in privately run facilities.
Roque issued the remarks after some private hospitals in the country are keen to disengage from PhilHealth due to claim non-payment.
