Roque visits wake of late Cebu City mayor Labella: ‘Rest in peace, my friend’

Former presidential spokesperson and senatorial candidate Harry Roque visited the wake of Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella in Cebu City on Thursday.

Roque posted photos on his Facebook account yesterday showing him paying his last respects to Labella.

“Condolences to the bereaved family of Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella. Rest in peace, my friend,” his caption read.

The local chief executive died on November 19 due to septic shock secondary to pneumonia.

Before being elected mayor in 2019, Labella started his political career as a councilor and served two consecutive terms as vice mayor.
