Up to establishments to refuse entry of minors: Palace

By Prince Golez

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has authorized public or private establishments to decide whether to deny service to minor children, Malacañang said Friday.

Acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles made the statement following the move of Metro Manila mayors to leave the issue on mobility restrictions for kids below 12 years old to the government’s Covid-19 task force.

Nograles, who also serves as IATF spokesperson, called on local government units (LGUs) to strictly enforce rules on health and safety protocols in business establishments.

“Kami nananawagan sa mga LGUs to ensure that this is strictly being enforced. Ito ang pinakamensahe ng IATF,” according to him.
