Amid Omicron threat, Pinoys in Europe urged to contact embassy for repatriation

MalacaƱang on Friday asked Filipinos in Europe who wish to return to the Philippines to seek embassy or consulate assistance.

This, after cases of the Omicron strain of the coronavirus, which is believed to be more transmissible than other variants, have increasingly been recorded around Europe.

“Sa mga stranded nating kababayan sa Europa na nangangailangan ng emergency assistance or nais na bumalik sa Pilipinas, you are advised to contact the nearest Philippine embassy or consulate general in the area,” acting presidential spokesperson and Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said in his virtual presser.
