Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Saturday (Dec. 4) that the remains of dismissed policeman Jonel Nuesca has been autopsied by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
“The NBI has conducted the autopsy but has not submitted an official report,” he said.
“This may take a few more days,” he added.
Nuesca died at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Hospital in Muntinlupa City after having suffered an apparent heart attack.
Nuesca got convicted back in August for two counts of murder.
The case concerns the altercation that took place on Dec. 21 , 2020 in the neighborhood of Nuesca in Paniqui, Tarlac where he shot in the head Sonia Gregorio, 53, and her son Frank Anthony, 25.
The incident was caught on video and went viral online.
