Cavite turned red and green during the visit of the presidential tandem of former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio.
The presidential duo, dubbed the “dream tandem” by Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., barnstormed the vote-rich province as political allies and loyalists came out to throw support on Thursday. It was the latest campaign pitstop a day after the visit to Quezon City
Revilla, who played host to the popular tandem, thanked the people of Cavite for showing support for the Marcos-Duterte team. The senator earlier step down as Lakas-CMD chairman to give way to the President’s daughter who has taken the helm of the political party.
“Maraming salamat sa Unang Distrito ng Cavite sa inyong mainit na pagtanggap at suporta kay BBM-Sara!!!” Revilla wrote on Facebook.
“Mabuhay ang mga Caviteño! Maraming salamat kina Mayor Angelo ng Kawit, Mayor Voltaire ng Rosario, Mayor Dino Chua ng Noveleta at Mayor Denver Chua ng Cavite City, lalo na sa aking anak, Jolo Revilla, ang susunod na Kongresista ng District 1,” he said.
