Pamaskong handog: Manila seniors to get holiday gift from Mayor Isko

With Christmas a few days away, the senior citizens of the city of Manila will soon receive a special holiday gift from Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

The Manila mayor announced on Facebook about the Christmas food pack set to be distributed to Manila’s elderly in the coming days. The Christmas gift packs includes black rice, cookies, cocoa mix and a mug.

“Mga minamahal kong lolo’t lola, nanay at tatay, good news po! Abangan niyo po sa mga darating na araw ang delivery ng aming Pamaskong Handog para po sa inyo!” the presidential aspirant said on Facebook.

“Laman po nito ay ang mga sumusunod: Premium Hot Cocoa Mix, Ceramic Mug and Lid, Premium Cookies, at Black Rice,” he said.

The mayor explained that the black rice will provide health benefits to the seniors.

“Ang black rice po ay nakakatulong sa ating katawan upang maboost ang ating heart health, mapaganda ang ating eye health, ma-manage ang ating sugar at diabetes, at meron rin po itong iba’t ibang nutrients kagaya ng Vitamin E, Calcium, at Potassium,” he said.

“Kaya sa mga lolo’t lola ko, mga nanay at tatay ko, para sa inyo po ito! Mag-iingat po kayo palagi. I love you po!” he added.
