You read that right. There’s a card in Marvel Snap that the community despises so much they’ve taken to referring to it as the “purple fart”. The card in question is, of course, Alioth. It was released last month as a Series 5 drop, and it destroys all cards your opponent played in a lane, face down or up.
It’s been a pretty polarizing card for the meta, to say the least, as it’s just forced its way into so many established decks. I mean, even Ultron has been forced out of the Patriot deck because Alioth is just that much more efficient as a turn six play. The good news is that Second Dinner has recognized how problematic Alioth can be, and this week’s OTA update addresses that, along with several other card balances.
