Barbershops and salons in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified GCQ can only offer hair-cutting services, according to Malacañang.
In a virtual Laging Handa public briefing on Saturday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the industry can begin to reopen in GCQ areas on June 7 at 30 percent operational capacity.
Salons and barbershops in areas under modified GCQ, on one hand, are allowed at 50 percent of operational capacity.
According to him, salons and barbershops in GCQ areas will be allowed to increase their operations to 50 percent two weeks from June 7. Those in MGCQ areas can operate at full capacity after three weeks.
