Some public healthy workers have a brand new ride.
Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation has donated 17 cars to public hospitals that will reportedly be used for the transportation of health workers.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has expressed gratitude to Toyota for the latest donation of cars.
“Thank you, @ToyotaMotorPH, for donating 17 units of vios cars to our government hospitals,” he tweeted.
“Thank you, His Excellency Koji Haneda, Ambassador of Japan to the Phils., Mr. Atsuhiro Okamoto, Toyota Motors Phils President and colleagues in DOH for gracing this event,” he said.
Toyota earlier announced plans to donate 30 units of Toyota Vios to public hospitals in Metro Manila and Laguna.
Okamoto earlier said Toyota salutes all healthcare workers in the country, calling them “the brave heroes who continue to work relentlessly to care for the sick and preserve life.”
“Please accept Toyota’s humble contribution of providing mobility services through our proudly Philippine-made and ever-dependable Toyota Vios,” the Toyota executive said.
