Bilyonaryo Manny Villar is feeling the loss of fellow tycoon Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. after he passed away on Tuesday.
Cojuangco, who built the largest food and drink in the country, died at the age of 85. The ally of the late President Ferdinand Marcos previously served as governor of Tarlac and founded the Nationalist People’s Coalition political party.
Villar took to social media to express sadness over the passing of Cojuangco, remembering the generosity of “Boss Danding.”
“My family and I are saddened by the passing of Eduardo Cojuangco Jr.,” he said in a Facebook post.
“Danding is a stalwart, not only of Philippine politics, but also of industry. He’s been called a tycoon and a kingmaker but he was ‘Boss Danding’ to many who had the opportunity to experience his generosity of spirit,” he said.
The former senator also offered his heartfelt condolences to the family of Cojuangco. “He will be missed. Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones,” he said.
