Man up! Ejercito throws shade at Zamora, says ‘true leader’ must take responsibility for Baguio quarantine protocol breach

The Estrada-Zamora feud is now being fueled by not-so-subtle shade.

Former Senator JV Ejercito took a swipe at San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora for supposedly not taking responsibility for breaking the health protocols when he visited Baguio City over the weekend.

Ejercito, in a series of tweets, felt sorry for the cops involved in Zamora’s convoy after they have been relieved from their posts over the quarantine breach in Baguio City. He said a “true leader” would take responsibility for the incident.

“Really feel sad for these police officers. A true leader will man up and assume responsibility. Police pa ang nadiin,” Ejercito said.

He also took potshots at Zamora for trying to evade responsibility when he supposedly claimed he was asleep when the convoy passed the Baguio checkpoint.

“Gen. Sinas, pareho po ba mañanita at nakatulog sa kotse? Pwede na ma-abswelto? May mali dito,” he said.

Zamora and his entourage recently sped past a quarantine checkpoint upon entering Baguio City and went straight to a country club. Baguio City mayor Benjamin Magalong later confirmed reports that Zamora’s convoy broke the city’s coronavirus protocols.

Zamora has apologized for the incident, saying it was not his intention to break the quarantine rules of Baguio. He was accompanying his cancer-stricken wife who intended to take a rest in Baguio City.
