Religious gatherings are still prohibited in areas under general community quarantine (GCQ), Malacañang said.
“Nagkaroon ng desisyon, hindi muna papayagan ang mass gathering for religious purposes,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said during his online press briefing Tuesday.
Roque said the decision to lift the ban on religious gatherings will depend on the case doubling rate and the preparedness to provide critical care.
“I cannot say when papayagan yan. Pero titignan natin ang datos, titignan natin ang case doubling rate, titignan natin ang preparedness for critical care,” according to him.
“Pero sa ngayon hindi po papayagan and mass gathering for religious purposes,” he stressed.
