The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved the recalibration of current parameters on quarantine classifications.
“Magkakaroon po ng recalibration ng current parameters, specifically yung case doubling time, ang critical care utilization, yung risk reclassification of provinces, highly urbanized cities and independent component cities,” according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
Roque said areas with high risk of coronavirus infection will be placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) or Modified ECQ.
Those considered moderate risk will either be under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or Modified GCQ while low risks will be placed under Modified GCQ.
“Wala na po yung new normal. Sa ngayon wala munang new normal. Ibig sabihin sa lahat ng lugar sa Pilipinas meron pa ring community quarantine. Pero pareho pa rin ang basehan niyan, case doubling time, critical care utilization at tinitingnan din ang ekonomiya,” the Palace official said.
