Native food, biking, and treadmill: Ping shares routine for staying fit during COVID

A diet of native food, weekend biking, and regular sessions on the treadmill. These are part of Sen. Panfilo Lacson’s routine in staying fit during the time of COVID.

Lacson said the routine also includes taking safety precautions, including wearing face masks, especially when going outside the house.

“Yun talagang sobrang ingat. Maski lalabas ka ng bahay kailangan naka-mask at very conscious. Pagka may nag-positive ang isang member ng pamilya, delikado, hawa-hawa lahat yan. Virus yan, pag uso ang flu, halos buong pamilya nagkakaroon ng flu, ibang usapan ito, COVID ito, walang vaccine ito, kaya talagang sobrang ingat,” he said in an interview on Abante Radyo Tabloidista.

When asked about his favorite food during the time of COVID, Lacson said these include native food. “Tinola, sinampalukan o prito, native, yan ang paborito,” he said.

Meanwhile, Lacson said he and his sons go biking on Sundays inside their subdivision. He said they usually travel 20 km by bike.

He added he regularly uses the treadmill – about once every two to three days.

“Pag Sunday oo (biking), kasama ko anak ko nagba-bike kami pero paikot-ikot sa loob ng subdivision, 2 loops yan, 20 km. At nagte-treadmill ako quite regularly, once every 2-3 days, nagte-treadmill ako sa bahay,” he said.
