An angry Sen. Panfilo Lacson thus pushed for the “ramming” of the company selling beauty products with the label, “Manila, province of China.”

“Why don’t we gas up our jet ski boats and all together ram that goddamn beauty product company which tagged Manila as a province of China, starting from Manila Bay all the way to Binondo Estero? Better if the owners are inside,” Lacson said in a tweet (https://twitter.com/iampinglacson/status/1296636525615095808).

On Thursday, party list Rep. Jericho Nograles pushed for a blacklist and boycott of a Chinese-made hair product whose packaging labeled Manila as a province of China.

Nograles said the product was locally distributed by Elegant Fumes Beauty Products Inc., based in Manila’s Binondo district.

Manila Mayor Francisco Domagoso (Isko Moreno) ordered the closure of establishment selling the products with the offending label.

The city government closed at least four stalls, according to earlier reports.
